Dr. Jeff Stephens has been in practice since 1998. He completed his general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and a fellowship in surgical oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. He offers advanced laparoscopic treatment of inguinal hernias using the most advanced robotic platform. In addition, he offers laparoscopic treatment of gallbladder disease, colon cancer, and diverticulitis. He is also skilled in the treatment of abdominal hernias. He strives to give each patient the time and attention they need.
Dr. Kate Makohon has been in practice in the local community since 2002, following completion of her general surgery residency at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas. She enjoys a diverse surgical practice. She performs advanced laparoscopic procedures for abdominal wall hernias and colon resections. She is skilled at open abdominal wall reconstruction for difficult hernias. Dr. Kate has a particular compassion for the treatment of Breast Cancer. She also treats gallbladder disease and hemorrhoids. Her approach to each patient is individual to determine appropriate treatment and this is discussed in a straightforward and interactive manner.
Dr. Carlaleigh Buxie joined Lakeside Surgery, P.A. in 2013 following the completion of her general surgery residency at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. As her practice has grown she has become an excellent addition to the practice. She has the same passion for the diversity of general surgery practice. She offers her patients laparoscopic and robotic treatment options for inguinal hernia and abdominal hernia, as well as single site gallbladder removal and other abdominal surgeries. She offers the same individual attention to each of her patients that Lakeside Surgery, P.A. strives to offer.
