Theresa M. Conyac, MD FACOG

At GLOW Obstetrics & Gynecology, clinical expertise and advanced technology meet patient autonomy and an open mind. “We are each a unique entity with personal concerns, beliefs, and goals,” shares Dr. Conyac. “We strive for efficiency at GLOW, but stay sensitive to the situations that require patience, time, and thorough explanation because a woman’s right to know is of the upmost importance.”

Whether it’s discussing a diagnosis or reviewing treatment options, a two-way conversation is encouraged to learn more about who you are and how a wholesome mind-body-soul wellness can be ensured. “From pelvic pain to high-risk pregnancies, hormonal management to surgical interventions, we are here to be a woman’s partner in wellness for any age,” says Dr. Conyac.

Meet Dr. Conyac

Born in Washington state, Dr. Conyac loves outdoor activities and all things natural. “Through mission trips and personal travel, I have been to some of the most isolated corners of the earth, bringing much-needed medical care while studying the cultural differences that shape the concept of ‘healing’ and ‘wellness.,’” she says. These experiences are the reason Dr. Conyac makes it a point to listen to her patients and strive for absolute comprehension. “The joining of finite surgical skills and critical reasoning to eastern healing and alternative therapies all work together to stabilize and heal the human body.

Dr. Conyac received her medical training from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago and completed her residency at Saint Francis Hospital, where she was rewarded for her outstanding work as a resident receiving the first-ever certificate of Obstetric Excellence by the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine. As Keynote Resident responsible for reviving the teaching of special delivery tools used to prevent caesarean section, Dr. Conyac continues to support the option of VBAC/vaginal trial of labor after cesarean as well as integrative options for labor pain management.

Dr. Conyac was recently named Employee of the Year for Baylor Scott and White Medical Center Lake Pointe, where she serves as the Director of Women’s Services and is the Obstetric Hospitalist Team Lead. She was also nominated to the position of Maternal Medical Director where she works to improve Obstetric safety measures statewide.

When not caring for her patients, she enjoys spoiling her faithful dogs, volunteering at animal rescues, and practicing yoga.
