Allergy ENT
Maybe not… Those with excellent hearing can easily take it for granted, and those without are often unaware, as hearing loss usually happens gradually. The skilled audiologists at the Allergy, Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic of North East Texas are dedicated and passionate about serving those with hearing loss and improving their quality of life. According to Dr. Rebecca Jimenez,
“Many people don’t realize that hearing loss is linked with other health conditions like fall risk, depression, cognitive function, and more.”
Hearing loss is not a condition to be alarmed or embarrassed about, as people of all ages struggle with it. About 20 percent of Americans suffer from some degree of hearing loss and 15 percent of school-age children suffer as well. If you or someone you love has experienced any form of loss, or if you notice someone seeking isolation, it’s time for a hearing check.
It’s imperative to see a skilled facility so the audiologists can accurately diagnose the condition and craft a customized treatment plan based on your needs. Hearing aids are not the inconvenience they once were. In fact, they can now be programmed according to each patient’s lifestyle. Through dedicated noise reduction programs, aids can be programmed for outdoor sports, arena events, restaurants, television, and several other situations, providing the wearer with a more enjoyable and realistic hearing experience.
Thorough education and instruction with the hearing aids guarantees high satisfaction. Very few patients return their hearing aids, because their expectations are realistic and they’ve been given the tools they need to succeed. Some may be hesitant due to finances, but rest assured many insurance programs cover hearing aids and programs exist to help those who can’t afford them. Dr. Jimenez and the other audiologists look forward to meeting you and doing all they can to improve your quality of life. Don’t delay, as holiday specials are available now through the first of the year. Make the coming season a more enjoyable experience for both you and your loved ones!
